Axe Sheath for Hultafors Classic Hunting Axe 850G or Hults Bruk Aneby

Description

This sheath is designed specifically and is tooled exactly for the Hultafors Classic Hunting Axe 850G. It will also fit the Hults Bruk Aneby Hatchet, as they are of identical shape. It is made out of full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide and then stained with a brown stain. The leather is treated with Fiebings Mink Oil (available from us here).

This sheath will protect you from the blade and the blade from accidentally dulling if it bumps into anything.

The construction of the sheath starts with three pieces of leather: the main body of the sheath, the securing strap and the welt. The main body is folded over a welt that is inserted between the two folded halves which prevents the blade of the inserted axe from cutting the stitch that is placed to hold the sheath together. The sheath is then glued, hand stitched and steel rivets are placed at the corners to reinforce the body. The axe head blade, when placed in the sheath, is prevented from touching the rivets because of the welt. The retention strap is then secured with a steel rivet and a steel snap is added for easy on/off action. This sheath is built to last, and quality hand crafted in the USA (Spokane, Washington).
