Description

This sheath is designed specifically for the Silky Professional PocketBoy 130 and 170 folding saw. Please select the appropriate saw before placing this in your cart as their lengths are slightly different.

The sheath allows for convenient carry and easy access to the saw when out in the forest, on the trail, or around camp. The saw is securely retained by the sheath and may be a bit snug at first but will loosen up with use. The saw sits deep in the sheath and should not fall out with walking or running. To sustain the durability of the leather you can use leather conditioning products such as Fiebings Mink Oil (available from us here) or Obenauf’s Leather Preservative.

The opening of the sheath is about 2.5″ by ⅞”, so be sure the other saw you are planning on will fit. The belt loop on the sheath will easily accept a belt of up to 2.5″ wide. The sheath is 3″ wide at and of varying heights depending on the saw it is designed for.

The sheath is built out of full-grain vegetable-tanned cowhide . The fit is snug and precise; each sheath is tested to have a precise fit. The saw sits very snugly into the sheath and does not move around. It will break in with time allowing the saw to drop in more easily. The sheath is then glued, and hand sewn with a saddle stitch using waxed polyester thread . This sheath is built to last, and quality hand crafted in the USA (Spokane, Washington). The edge of the sheath has a sealed polish finish. The sheath is treated with Mink Oil.
